If any of you ever visited British Curlies you might have read that Unruly hosted Carlos Flores from Brooklyn NY when he cut the British Curlies competition winner – who declared her hair problems to thousands of readers in the hope that her plight might win the competition.

Unruly was the proud host salon for the occasion and was delighted to meet Carlos.

When I caught up with Carlos it was a pleasure to meet someone who was as dedicated at mastering curly hair as I am and we shared and exchanged our understanding of mastering curly hair.

If you are ever in NY and need a curly stylist then he might be the one to seek…

…Although I think his waiting list is as long or longer than mine!

On the 21st of December on the shortest, darkest, (probably) coldest day of the year. I am going to attempt to cycle solo from London to Paris (231miles) in under 24hours.

My mission is to raise £2500 for the most worthy of charities – Macmillan Cancer Support. The amount of care that Macmillan provided to my grandmother throughout her 15 year battle with Cancer is worthy of every penny they receive and I am sure every person reading this has a member of their own family that has benefited in some way from the charity that is Macmillan.
Please visit: www.justgiving.com/michael-price for more info…

It is easier to click and donate through just giving than you might think. Dig deep and think of me riding through the dark and cold for 231 miles non-stop.

My old friend Lily Allan and her sister Sarah Owen have recently launched a fantastic new vintage clothes shop where you can try on vintage and either buy or rent an entire outfit including accessories.

The new way to shop should put pay to many a girls worst nightmare showing up to a party with the same dress as 5 others from the high street. To top it off you can get your hair quaffed in a vintage stylee by none other than myself, I will be guest stylist on Friday nights 6-9pm throughout Christmas.

They also do make–up, Wah nails and a steady flow of drinks (Grey Goose).

My recommendation is that if you are in a quandary about this party seasons outfits you should pay Lucy in Disguise a visit fast before all the A-listers trying to out-do each other snap up all the best outfits. They will reserve an outfit for a particular night and have Wii’s to entertain the fella’s while you pamper yourself.

Go check it out: lucyindisguiselondon.com

The artwork will rotate each month so you can ponder some affordable original art each time you visit the salon. There is no theme or order to what is on display other than it all being original and affordable (under £1000).

Tigi was recently rebranded to drag their ageing 90’s bold bright packaging toward something much more luxurious and refined.

I personally welcome the change.

Many of you have freaked out thinking that they discontinued or changed the famous curls rock Amplifier…

They have changed it for the better by keeping the content the same but throwing in an extra 50ml (1/3rd) for just an extra 0.75p… bargain!

The new Curls Rock shampoo is much improved and the new line:

“Your Highness is brilliant for plumping up and bringing shine to flat dull hair”

Inviting up to two-dozen strangers to your home and turning it in to a secret restaurant is my kind of hell… But being invited to a strangers house, beautifully adapted as a secret restaurant is my kind of heaven and has a strange allure. I have been many times and besides the food being amazing the concept really works.

My wife and I were recently invited to do hair & make-up backstage for a catwalk show for a fantastic cause, empowering African girls through education.

The show was headlined by fashion made from traditional bold and bright Congolese fabric designed, cut and made in to wearable contemporary African inspired fashion by vulnerable girls in the Congo.

It was a massive success and was covered by CNN raising awareness for a very worthy charity – Georges Malaika Foundation… If only real commercial fashion houses managed to fill their shows with as much calm and purpose.
